Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative is urging all members to attend its annual meeting, scheduled for Thursday, June 6 at Milnor Area Community Center.
The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. with registration, a member appreciation supper and entertainment by the Earl Fust band. A business meeting and election is scheduled for 6 p.m. Following the meeting, historian Steve Stark will present his “Illustrated History” of Dakota Valley Electric. Children’s entertainment is also available.
Four Dakota Valley members are running for three seats on the Dakota Valley Board of Directors. Incumbent Arden Fuher, Edgeley, West Region, District 3; and Incumbent Kim Rasmussen, Forman, Central Region, District 2; were nominated for re-election at those district’s caucus meeting in March.
Two candidates are vying for the East Region, District 3 director’s seat. Members nominated include Dave Paulson, Hankinson and Incumbent Gerald Sundquist, Hankinson, at the caucus meeting in April.
Members may vote at the June 6 meeting or by mail ballot.
Following the meeting is a chance to win $1,000, iPad drawing for children and many other prizes.
